Fishing Boat People Count: Fishing for Answers
(Requires Real Audio. Go get it.)
Produced by Turner Environment Division of Turner Original Productions and hosted by Jane Fonda, Fishing for Answers is a three part video exploring the power and vulnerability of the ocean. In part one, photo-journalist/film maker Barbara Pyle visits a fishing port in the northeast U.S. and interviews a a third generation fisherman on the changes that he's seen in the fisheries and in government regulation. Part two focuses on the inter-connectivity of the web of life and how imbalance effects species and includes group discussions between marine conservationists and fishing industry representatives. Part three summarizes the conclusions.
